FONTANA, CA (TheSpread) – Denny Hamlin will start up front for the Auto Club 400 on Sunday after being the fastest in qualifying on Friday night.

According to oddsmakers, Jimmie Johnson is still the favorite to win this race with5 /1 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Kyle Busch and Hamlin, who each have 6/1 odds.

Johnson qualified 10th on Friday for the race. Johnson is 17th in the point standings right now. He has two top 5’s and three top 10’s, but he had one DNF this season that set him back.
