Harvick wins Kobalt 400
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – Kevin Harvick continued his strong start to the 2015 NASCAR season on Sunday as he won the Kobalt 400 from Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Harvick had the top car on the day throughout the race, leading a race-best 142 laps out of a possibly 267 to come away with the victory. Harvick finished ahead of Martin Truex Jr. and Ryan Newman on the final lap.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Harvick was the favorite to win this race entering the week, as he had 5/1 odds. This means that a wager of $100 on Harvick to win will pay out an additional $500.
Harvick now joins Joey Logano and Jimmie Johnson as the winners in 2015. Of the winners, Harvick is the leader in the point standings by 11 over Logano. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is tops in the standings of the drivers without a win, leading Truex Jr. by seven points. Earnhardt finished fourth on Sunday.
