Danica Patrick Daytona 500 Odds
DAYTONA BEACH, FL (TheSpread) – Danica Patrick has had some mild success at Daytona International Speedway. Will Sunday be the day she breaks out in the Daytona 500?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Patrick has an over/under of 20.5 for her finishing position for Sunday’s race and her actual odds to win the race have been set at 50/1. The Daytona 500 will be held this Sunday from Daytona International Speedway at 1:30PM ET.
This will be the fourth time Patrick is competing in the Daytona 500. She debuted with a 38th-place finish in 2012 and then followed that up by finishing eighth in 2013. Last year she struggled again, finishing in 40th place. She has also competed in two other races in Daytona in the summer, placing 13th in the 400-mile race in 2013 and then eighth in last year’s race.
Patrick doesn’t have a bad starting position, as she will begin in the 20th spot. She earned that spot by placing 10th in the Budweiser Duel on Thursday. She actually was in position to start higher up, but an incident with Denny Hamlin nearly pushed her out of the field entirely. She originally was 30th in the Daytona 500 qualifying session last Sunday.
