DAYTONA BEACH, FL - (TheSpread) –The Great American Race is set to take place on Sunday as the Daytona 500 takes place. Here is a look at some prop wagers for this year’s event.
Oddsmakers at online sportsbook Sportsbook.com have set over/under odds of 26 for the number of lead changes in this year’s race.
In the history of the race, the most lead changes was in 1974, where 60 lead changes took place throughout the race. The fewest in history were 7, but that was way back in 1964 and 1965. Last year’s race had a total of 52 lead changes.
Another prop bet to consider for this event is the most laps led by any driver. The over/under has been set at 75.5. The record belongs to Richard Petty, who led 184 laps in 1964. Last year, Kevin Harvick led the most laps, a total of 41. Kyle Busch took the honor is 2009, leading 88 laps.
