Oddsmakers at online sportsbook Sportsbook.com have given Bowyer over/under odds of 1.5 victories in 2011. In order for the wager to be official, Bowyer must race in 33 races this season.

Bowyer made the chase for the championship last season and finished 10th in the final standings. He had two wins in 2010, which was a new career-high for him.

In his career, Bowyer has just four wins over five years and only two pole victories. His average start has not been better than 14.9, which he set in 2010, but his average finish has also hovered around 14 for the last four years of his career.

At just 31 years of age, Bowyer still has room to improve and he did prove that he can win two races in a year last year. However, Bowyer hasn’t established himself as a consistent contender. 2011 will really show where Bowyer’s career is heading.
