Harvick Picks Up Right Where He Left Off - Bettors Cash on Harvicks Win

Driver Page: Kevin Harvick

Kevin Harvick has started the 2007 NASCAR Busch Series season right where he left off in 2006 with a victory today in the season opening Orbitz 300 at Daytona International Speedway. The victory was the first ever Busch Series win at Daytona for Harvick who won the 2006 Busch Series Championship.

Harvick qualified for the race 31st but systematically made his way through the 43 car field to the front, where he stayed for most of the afternoon. Early on Kyle Busch looked like the car to beat but had to bow out of the event with problems in his fuel system.

Carl Edwards to finished third tried to take the lead from Harvick in the final 10 laps with a move to the outside but lost his momentum before completing the pass. This allowed Dave Blaney to tuck in behind Harvick to finish second.

The second place finish for Blaney was even more impressive considering he is driving a Toyota this season. This was the first race for Toyota in the NASCAR Busch Series and the highest finish ever for a Toyota in the Busch Series.

NASCAR bettors who took Harvick today saw a healthy profit from their wagers. Harvick's odds to win the Orbitz 300 at Daytona were +1015 which means every $100 bet on Harvick paid out a whopping $1015.
