SEATTLE (AP) - The Houston Astros have reinstated catcher Carlos Corporan from the seven-day concussion disabled list and he is in the starting lineup for Monday night's game against the Seattle Mariners.
Corporan sustained a concussion after being hit in the mask by a foul tip on Aug. 19 against the Rangers. Manager Bo Porter said Corporan should be able to catch the entire game, although he will be immediately evaluated if he is hit in the mask or helmet by a ball.
Corporan is hitting .245 with seven home runs and 17 RBI in 50 games for Houston.
