WASHINGTON (AP) -Washington Nationals shortstop Felipe Lopez left Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals in the sixth inning because of tendinitis in his right knee.
He is listed as day-to-day.
Lopez was 0-for-2 with a walk before leaving the game. The starting shortstop, who has played in 105 of Washington’s 111 games, is batting .243 with six home runs and 41 RBIs. He was replaced by D’Angelo Jimenez.
