MIAMI (AP) -Florida Marlins shortstop Hanley Ramirez partially dislocated his left shoulder on a swing in the first inning and left Sunday’s game against Cincinnati.
With the count 0-1, Ramirez swung at a 76-mph breaking pitch from Bronson Arroyo, missed and hurt his shoulder on the long follow-through. He immediately grabbed his shoulder with a grimace and walked to the dugout.
Ramirez, the NL Rookie of the Year in 2006, was batting .336 with 16 home runs and 27 stolen bases.
