ATLANTA (AP) -Pittsburgh third baseman Jose Bautista left Saturday's game against the Atlanta Braves after cutting his left hand.
In the second inning, Bautista reached base on a one-out walk and moved to second when Braves starter Chuck James also walked Ronny Paulino. Bautista was thrown out while trying to steal third as Jack Wilson struck out.
Bautista cut his hand on third baseman Chipper Jones' spiked cleats while sliding hands first.
Jose Castillo replaced Bautista at third base.
Bautista is listed as day to day.
