MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -The Twins sent right-hander Kevin Slowey to Triple-A Rochester on Thursday after a rough outing in Minnesota’s 7-6 loss to the New York Yankees.
Slowey gave up five runs in 3 2-3 innings. He made his major league debut June 1 against Oakland and was 3-0 with a 5.84 ERA in seven starts for Minnesota.
Carmen Cali, a left-hander, was called up from Rochester to replace Slowey on the major league roster. He will join the team for Friday’s double-header against the White Sox in Chicago.
