KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -The Oakland Athletics said Thursday that left-hander Dallas Braden will be recalled from Triple-A Sacramento to start against the Cleveland Indians on Saturday.
Braden is replacing Rich Harden, who is on the disabled list with a right shoulder strain, in the rotation. Oakland did not immediately announce a corresponding roster move.
Braden made two April starts for Oakland, going 1-1 with a 5.23 ERA. He was optioned to Sacramento on May 1.
Braden has no record and a 0.75 ERA in two starts for the River Cats.
