PITTSBURGH (AP) -Chicago Cubs right-hander Jason Marquis won’t make his scheduled start Friday against the Philadelphia Phillies because of the flu, so right-hander Carlos Zambrano is moving up a day to start in his place.
Ted Lilly starts Saturday against the Phillies, with either Marquis or rookie Sean Marshall starting on Sunday. Marshall, called up from the minors earlier in the day, got the save by pitching the 15th inning of the Cubs’ 6-4 victory in Pittsburgh on Wednesday.
