METAIRIE, La. (AP) – Placido Polanco homered twice and drove in five runs, Wade LeBlanc pitched four perfect innings and the Miami Marlins beat their Triple-A New Orleans affiliate 7-0 on Saturday.
Polanco followed Juan Pierre’s leadoff single in the first with a long home run off Brad Hand. Polanco added a three-run shot to center in the fourth. The homers were his first this spring.
The Marlins open the regular season Monday at the Washington Nationals.
