After eliminating the Guardians yesterday afternoon in the Bronx, the Yankees had to still hop a flight to Houston to open a new series with the Astros at 7:37 p.m. ET on Wednesday.

New York Yankees DFS SPIN
Giancarlo Stanton blasted a three-run homer off of Aaron Civale in the opening inning on Tuesday, powering the Yankees to the ALCS with a 5-1 victory over the visiting Guardians in Game 5 of the ALDS. Stanton took a lot of pressure off of the Bombers offense in a must-win game, crushing a 2-0 cutter for a 379-foot three-run shot that gave the Yankees a lead they would never relinquish. It was his only hit in four at-bats on the afternoon, but proved to be the difference in the ballgame and ultimately the series. Stanton hit just .125/.211/.500 with two long balls and six RBI on the series.
Houston Astros DFS SPIN
Justin Verlander will start for the Astros on Wednesday in Game 1 of the ALCS. Verlander is still waiting to find out whether he’ll be facing the Guardians or Yankees on Wednesday night in Houston, but he’ll be ready to take the ball for the Astros after getting torched for six runs over four innings last Tuesday in a Game 1 loss to the Mariners. The 39-year-old veteran right-hander will be making his 32nd career postseason start since 2006.

Yankees vs. Astros MLB BETTING PREDICTION
The Yankees are 8-3 in their last 11 games after scoring five runs or more in their previous game, are 6-2 in their last eight games when their opponent scored two runs or less in their previous contest and are 11-5 in their last 16 games after allowing two runs or less in their previous contest. They’re also 15-7 in their last 22 games overall and have won 63 of their last 94 games following a win. I’m taking the Bronx Bombers to come through with a Game 1 upset tonight in Houston.
