Seattle Mariners DFS SPIN
Julio Rodríguez went 2-for-4 with a double, triple, walk, three runs scored and a pair of RBI on Tuesday, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Mariners to a victory over the Astros in Game 1 of the ALDS. Not a bad postseason debut for the 21-year-old phenom. Rodríguez started the game by working a five-pitch walk off of Justin Verlander and he came around to score the game’s first run on an RBI single off the bat of Cal Raleigh. Rodríguez then extended that lead with a two-run double in the second inning before he came in to score on Ty France’s run-scoring single. He also smacked a two-out triple off of Verlander in the fourth inning and was driven in on France’s RBI double. The likely American League Rookie of the Year certainly didn’t shy away from the bright lights of the postseason. He should be a consensus top-five pick in all fantasy drafts next spring.
Houston Astros DFS SPIN
Alex Bregman clubbed a two-run homer in the eighth inning on Tuesday, helping to lead the Astros to a come-from-behind victory over the Mariners in Game 1 of the ALDS. The Astros entered the eighth inning trailing 7-3, but they didn’t have any quit in them. Bregman halved that deficit with his 403-foot blast off of Andres Munoz, setting the stage for the heroics of Yordan Álvarez in the ninth. Bregman finished the day 1-for-3 plus a walk.
