Dodgers roll in Game 3

Los Angeles secured a 10-4 victory Sunday night over host Washington in Game 3 of the NLDS. A seven-run sixth inning broke the game open for the Dodgers. Russell Martin helped lead the LA offense as he went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, a walk, two runs scored and four RBIs. Justin Turner was 3-for-6 with a homer, a double and three RBIs. Max Muncy ended the game 1-for-4 with a solo home run, two walks and two runs. David Freese was 3-for-3 off the bench with a double and two runs. Hyun-Jin Ryu picked up the win as he gave up two earned runs on four hits with three strikeouts and two walks over five innings. Rich Hill gets the start tonight as he enters with a 4-1 record, 2.45 ERA and 1.13 WHIP plus 72 strikeouts over 58 2/3 innings pitched.

Corbin pounded in relief

Washington fell 10-4 at home Sunday night against Los Angeles in Game 3 of the NLDS. Patrick Corbin suffered the loss in relief as he surrendered six earned runs on four hits with two strikeouts and two walks over two-thirds of an inning. Juan Soto led the Nationals offense as he finished 2-for-3 with a home run, a walk, two runs scored and two RBIs. Adam Eaton and Anthony Rendon were both 1-for-3 with a walk and a run. MLB Betting Trends

Los Angeles

The Dodgers are 10-1 in their last 11 road games. Los Angeles is 13-3 in the last 16 Hill starts versus the NL East.

The Nationals are 6-2 in their last eight Monday games. Washington is 13-3 in the last 16 Scherzer starts.

Scherzer was absolutely filthy in an inning of relief Friday night and I trust him here in this spot. He's one of the best pitchers in baseball and capable of putting a team on his back. Hill has suffered through injuries this season and will be on a pitch count tonight. The more pitchers LA uses, the better chance one or two of them are not having a good night. Take the hosts here to extend the series.
