Minnesota Vikings Fantasy Spin
Stefon Diggs (undisclosed) didn’t practice Wednesday. Diggs showed numerous indications he was dinged up on Sunday but still logged 52-of-62 offensive snaps (84%) against the Bears. His availability against the Giants will ultimately come down to his participation in Friday’s practice. Reminder Diggs has averaged a poor 4/37.2/0.1 in his past seven games when playing through an injury designation.
New York Giants Fantasy Spin
Coach Pat Shurmur refused to rule Saquon Barkley (ankle) out for Week 5 against the Vikings. We’d bet Barkley doesn’t play, but Week 6 seems to be within the realm of possibilities for a return. Barkley was off to the side jogging and working with trainers at Wednesday’s practice. When asked about Barkley, Shurmur said, “Some people’s doctor’s had him at eight weeks. Not my doctors.” Expect Wayne Gallman to get the nod against the Vikings.
NFL Betting Trends
Minnesota
The under is 17-8 in the Vikings’ last 25 games after scoring less than 15 points in their previous game.
New York
The under is 5-0 in the Giants’ last five games after accumulating more than 150 yards rushing in their previous contest.
Prediction
The Vikings have been cashing the under consistently thanks to horrendous performances by quarterback Kirk Cousins and excellent performances by their defense. The under is 5-1 in the Vikings’ last six games overall, is 5-0 in their last five road games and is 7-0 in their last seven conference matchups. On the other side, the under is 15-7 in the Giants’ last 22 home games and is 12-5 in their last 17 games coming off a win.
