Nola shuts down Braves

Aaron Nola ended his regular season with a bang Saturday as he threw seven shutout innings to earn the win in a 3-0 triumph over Atlanta. He allowed two hits while striking out eight and walking four. Seranthony Dominguez picked up his 15th save of the season as he struck out one and walked one in one inning of work. Cesar Hernandez helped pace the offense as he went 1-for-4 with two RBIs from the leadff spot. Carlos Santana finished 1-for-2 with two walks. Rhys Hoskins was 1-for-3 with a double and a walk. Scott Kingery was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run.

Braves held to two hits

Ronald Acuna Jr. was 1-for-4 in yesterday's loss at Philadelphia. Nick Markakis ended the game 1-for-1 with three walks. Jonny Venters took the loss as he surrendered three earned runs on two hits with three walks in two-thirds of an inning.

Kevin Gausman (10-10, 3.93 ERA) will take the mound today for Atlanta, while Ranger Suarez (1-1, 6.00) goes for the Phillies.
