Nats cruise in rain-shortened game

Washington recorded a 9-3 win in eight innings Wednesday in its home series finale against Miami. Rookie Victor Robles had a night day at the plate as he was 4-for-5 with a home run, a double, a stolen base and five RBIs from the leadoff spot. Trea Turner walked twice in five plate appearances. Juan Soto finished 2-for-4 with a double and a run. Mark Reynolds went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk and a run off the bench. Spencer Kieboom was 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs and three RBIs. Wander Suero struck out the side in a perfect inning of relief to record the win.

Rockies win seventh straight

Colorado pushed its lead to a full game in the NL West standings Thursday afternoon with a 5-3 home win over Philadelphia. David Dahl went 2-for-4 with a home run, a triple and two RBIs to help lead the way. Trevor Story went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk. Gerardo Parra added a pinch-hit solo home run. Scott Oberg struck out three in 1 1/3 innings of relief to pick up the win.

Joe Ross (0-1, 4.09 ERA) will take the mound today for the Nationals, while the Rockies are going with Kyle Freeland (16-7, 2.84).

MLB Betting Trends

The Nationals are 9-3 in their last 12 road games. The over is 11-5-1 in the last 17 Ross starts overall.

The Rockies are 30-11 in their last 41 home games. Colorado is 12-1 in Freeland's last 13 home starts.

I can't bet against Colorado right now, especially with the consistent Marquez on the mound. Ross is still working his way back from his arm injury and has been up-and-down this month. I'm going to take the Rockies on the runline again today.
