Frankie Montas vs. Dustin May
Oakland A’s DFS Spin
Jake Lamb drove in two runs in a blowout loss for the Athletics to the Giants on Sunday. Lamb was responsible for the only two runs for the Athletics with a two-run single in the sixth. The 29-year-old was atrocious with the Diamondbacks as seen in his .380 OPS over 18 games, but he’s off to a nice start for the A’s with RBI in four straight games and a .364/.414/.727 slash in six appearances. The sample size is too small to take seriously right now, but there’s no question that Lamb has helped since signing in Oakland.
Los Angeles Dodgers DFS Spin
Edwin Rios went 1-for-3 and drove in a run in Sunday afternoon’s loss to the Rockies in Colorado. Rios delivered a two-out RBI single to get the Dodgers on the board in the seventh inning, trimming their deficit to four runs at 5-1. He finished the afternoon 1-for-4 and is now hitting .224/.284/.522 with five homers and 13 RBI in 66 at-bats on the year. The 26-year-old has been hampered by his inconsistent playing time this season, but his upside remains fully intact if he were ever to land a full-time gig.
A’s vs. Dodgers Betting Prediction
The A’s are 8-3 in the last 11 meetings between these two teams and have won four straight versus opponents that own winning records. They’re also 39-14 in their last 53 games coming off a loss and are 23-8 in their last 31 games after scoring two runs or less in their previous contest. Meanwhile, the Dodgers have dropped seven of their last nine interleague games when playing at home against an opponent with a winning record.
