Pirates drop eighth straight

Pittsburgh lost by a 10-1 score for the second straight game Saturday at Milwaukee to drop to 65-90 overall and 34-46 overall. James Marvel took the loss as he allowed five earned runs on six hits with three strikeouts and two walks over 3 1/3 innings. Adam Frazier paced the Pirates offensively as he went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. Jose Osuna also finished 2-for-3. Erik Gonzalez ended teh contest 1-for-3. Trevor Williams will start for Pittsburgh today as he enters with a 7-7 record, 5.59 ERA and 1.45 WHIP plus 102 strikeouts over 133 2/3 innings pitched.

Grisham helps power Brewers

Milwaukee rolled to a 10-1 victory at home Saturday over Milwaukee to improve to 85-70 overall and 48-32 at home. Trent Grisham helped lead the Brewers offense as he finished 3-for-4 with a home run, a walk, a stolen base, two runs scored and three RBIs. Keston Hiura was 1-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs. Ryan Braun ended the game 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, two runs and two RBIs. Lorenzo Cain finished 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Brent Suter picked up the win in relief as he allowed on hit with one strikeout and no walks over two innings. Brandon Woodruff gets the start today for Milwaukee as he comes in with an 11-3 record, 3.69 ERA and 1.16 WHIP plus 140 strikeouts across 119 2/3 innings of work.
