Minnesota Twins DFS Spin
Byron Buxton had three hits and homered twice on Thursday in a loss to the White Sox. Buxton is killing the baseball right now. He’s homered in three-straight games for the second time in 2020, and now has four round-trippers in the last three days. The former second-overall pick also singled, and he’s now hitting .270 on the year. Because he’s still only drawn one walk, Buxton is now slashing an almost impossible .270/.272/.622. You’d love to see more patience, but it’s tough to argue with the results for the 26-year-old right now.
Chicago Cubs DFS Spin
Javier Báez went 2-for-5 with a walk-off single in the 10th inning that gave the Cubs a 3-2 win over the Indians on Wednesday. El Mago comes through in the clutch. With the bases loaded and two outs, Báez singled off of Phil Maton to score Ian Happ and give the Cubs a victory in extras. The 27-year-old shortstop has now driven in 21 runs in 49 games, and including his 450-foot homer on Tuesday, he’s plated runs in back-to-back games. It’s been a disappointing season for Báez with an ugly 65/7 K/BB ratio and .627 OPS, but everyone is aware that he’s capable of offensive fireworks every night, as frustrating as 2020 has been.
Twins vs. Cubs Betting Prediction
The Twins are winless in their last four trips to Wrigley Field and have dropped five straight versus the Cubs overall. They’re also just 1-4 in their last five road games, are 2-6 in their last eight times as a road underdog and are 1-4 in their last five on the road when facing a right-handed starter. Meanwhile, the Cubs have won four straight overall, five of six at home and are 8-2 in their last 10 interleague hoe games when facing a left-handed starter. Oh, and Hendricks has been virtually unhittable at home. I’m taking the Cubs.
