Marlins vs. Braves 9/9 Prediction
The Marlins pulled off back-to-back upsets the last two days in Atlanta but can they make it three straight versus Freedie Freeman and the Braves? The NL East foes will meet again at 7:10 p.m. ET tonight and Miami is listed as an underdog for a third consecutive night.

Brian Anderson reached all five times up Tuesday, going 3-for-3 with a walk and a HBP. Anderson had Monday off as the result of a 6-for-35 slump that had seen him strike out 16 times. It did the trick, apparently, as he raised his OBP from .333 to .357 tonight.
Atlanta Braves DFS Spin
Cole Hamels (triceps) could be activated for the Braves’ series against the Orioles next week. That series will begin next Monday, September 14. Hamels has been throwing in simulated games while working his way back from tendinitis in his left triceps muscle. He might not be fully stretched out next week, but the Braves need all the help they can get in their rotation, especially with Max Fried (back) going on the injured list this week. We wouldn’t bank on much fantasy impact out of the gate here, but Hamels could be a valuable contributor on a potential postseason run.
Marlins vs. Braves MLB Prediction
It’s tempting to back the Braves assuming they won’t drop three games in a row to a Marlins team that had been struggling entering this series on Monday. That said, at the start of the series, someone could have circled this game as the only matchup Miami would win. That’s because Pablo Lopez has been a bright spot in this Marlins rotation. He’s 3-3 on the year with a 3.05 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP over 38 1/3 innings. Contrast that to Braves starter Tommy Milone, who’s 1-4 with a 5.30 ERA and 1.43 WHIP and we’re getting the better pitcher while also catching plus odds. For whatever reason, the Marlins have pitched well in this series and I expect that to continue tonight. Will they also continue to swing hot bats and get a little lucky like they did in their Labor Day victory on Monday afternoon? It’s worth their money line odds to find out.
