Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Colorado Rockies 9/7/18, Prediction & Odds

The Colorado Rockies hold a 1.5-game lead in the NL West standings as they prepare to host the Los Angeles Dodgers in a key series this weekend. Will Los Angeles register the game one victory as it sends ace Clayton Kershaw to the hill?

Dodgers fall in finale vs. Mets

Los Angeles dropped a 7-3 contest at home Wednesday versus the Mets. Max Muncy went 1-for-4 with a 2-run homer to pace the offense, while Cody Bellinger contributed a solo home run in four at-bats. Justin Turner went 1-for-4 and scored a run. Hyun-jin Ryu suffered the loss as he gave up five runs (one earned) on 10 hits with eight strikeouts and no walks over six innings.

Rockies pad NL West lead with Story's huge night

Colorado secured a 5-3 victory Wednesday night at home against San Francisco. Trevor Story led the way with a big output, hitting three solo home runs in five at-bats. D.J. LeMahieu finished 2-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI. Carlos Gonzalez went 1-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI. Harrison Musgrove picked up the win in relief as he threw 1 1/3 spotless innings with two strikeouts. Adam Ottavino struck out one in a perfect inning for his sixth save.

Kershaw (6-5, 2.40 ERA) will start today for LA, while Colorado counters with Jon Gray (11-7, 4.70).

MLB Betting Trends

Los Angeles

The under is 9-3 in the last 12 Dodgers Friday games. Los Angeles is 9-3 in its last 12 games overall.

The Rockies are 9-3 in their last 12 Friday games. The under is 22-7-1 in the last 30 Colorado home games.

Kershaw has continued to pitch solid baseball, even if his strikeout rate is down a bit this season. He knows how to pitch at Coors Field, while Gray does as well and has had a lot of bad luck on the mound this season. I'm liking the under tonight as bloated totals at Coors Field have made the under a great play the last few months.
