Swanson scores on go-ahead wild pitch

Atlanta secured a 7-6 win in 10 innings Thursday night as Dansby Swanson scored on a wild pitch in the top of the 10th inning. Ender Inciarte was 1-for-5 with a run in the win. Freddie Freeman went 1-for-5 with a double and two runs. Nick Markakis finished 4-for-5 with a double and two runs. Johan Camargo finished 1-for-4 with a solo homer, a walk and two runs. Kurt Suzuki finished 1-for-3 with a 2-run homer. Swanson was 1-for-4 and scored the run. Brad Brach struck out one and walked one in an inning of work to get the win in relief.

Diamondbacks rally in ninth

Arizona scored twice in the bottom of the ninth inning Thursday night to tie it at 6-6 before falling in the 10th. Paul Goldschmidt tied the score with a solo home run. He went 3-for-5 with the homer, a double and three runs. David Peralta was 3-for-5 with a run. Steven Souza Jr. was 0-for-2, but walked twice and scored a run. Nick Ahmed finished 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and three RBIs. Brad Boxberger suffered the loss in relief as he gave up one earned run on one hit with one strikeout and one walk in two-thirds of an inning.

Kevin Gausman (9-9, 3.78 ERA) will start tonight for the Braves, while the D-backs are countering with Patrick Corbin (10-5, 3.06).

MLB Betting Trends

The Braves are 5-15 in their last 20 Friday games. Atlanta is 6-2 in its last eight road games.

The over is 12-3 in Corbin's last 15 Friday starts. The over is 10-1-1 in the last 12 meetings.

While games between these two squads have titled toward the over, Chase Field has been more pitcher-friendly this season and we have two solid pitchers on the mound tonight. Things tend to even out over time and with the over hitting 10 of the last 12 meetings, it's time for a nice and tidy low-scoring affair.
