Pittsburgh
The Pirates are 4-1 in their last five Friday games. Pittsburgh is 7-17 in its last 24 home games.
Prediction:
St. Louis is in playoff form right now with four weeks left in the regular season. While Pittsburgh is generally a tough place for opponents, the Pirates are going through the motions right now and it’s hard to put money on them in a matchup with a first-place opponent. Mikolas is the type of pitcher who should keep it in the yard in Mikolas and Musgrove is prone to a bad inning or two that often derails his outings. Go with the Cardinals here.
