Austin Romine ended the game 1-for-4 with a double at two RBIs. Luis Cessa picked up the win in relief as he gave up two hits with three strikeouts and no walks over three innings of work. Domingo German will take the mound today for New York as he comes in with a 17-3 record, 4.01 ERA and 1.15 WHIP plus 141 strikeouts across 132 1/3 innings pitched.

Mookie Betts led the Red Sox offense as he went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double. Xander Bogaerts ended the game 1-for-3 plus a walk. J.D. Martinez was 1-for-4 with a double. Andrew Cashner took the loss in relief as he gave up one earned run on no hits with one strikeout and three walks over two-thirds of an inning. MLB Betting Trends

New York

The Yankees are 4-0 in their last four road games. New York is 47-14 in its last 61 games versus the AL East.

The Red Sox are 1-4 in their last five home games. Boston is 4-0 in its last four Friday games.

Chacin replaces Price on the mound as the latter was scratched from this start, so the line is likely tilting heavily in favor of the Yankees. Regardless, New York is the team here trending in the right direction and even beyond the starting pitchers it has the most trustworthy bullpen. While the offenses are comparable, the heavy pitching edge is with the visitors.
