Kluber dominates Royals

Indians ace Corey Kluber guided the hosts to a 3-1 victory Wednesday against the Royals as he allowed one earned run on two hits with 10 strikeouts and a walk over 6 2/3 innings. Brad Hand struck out the side in the ninth inning for his eighth save with Cleveland. Michael Brantley and Yonder Alonso were both 1-for-4 with a run scored to help pace the offense. Yandy Diaz finished 1-for-3 with a walk. Edwin Encarnacion ended the game 2-for-4 with an RBI. Jason Kipnis was 2-for-3 with a double, a run and an RBI. Greg Allen finished 1-for-4 with an RBI.

Blue Jays score 10 versus Rays

Toronto ended a two-game skid by rolling to a 10-3 victory Wednesday at home versus the Rays. Billy McKinney ended the contest 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and two runs. Devon Travis went 3-for-5 with a double, a run and an RBI. Justin Smoak was 2-for-5 with two runs and an RBI. Kendrys Morales went 3-for-4 with a walk, a run and an RBI. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. was 3-for-5 with a double, a run and an RBI. Aledmys Diaz completed the contest 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs and three RBIs. Aaron Sanchez picked up the win as he surrendered three earned runs on six hits with eight strikeouts and two walks over six innings.

MLB Betting Trends

The under is 17-4 in the last 21 Indians games on astroturf. Cleveland is 45-17 in its last 62 games overall.

The Blue Jays are 4-12 in their last 16 Thursday games. Toronto is 3-7 in its last 10 games overall.

Bieber has received plenty of offensive support from one of the best offenses in baseball and although he has a high hard-hit ball rate against him, the rookie has shown the promise and type of strikeout stuff to dominate an outing. Indians should get to Gaviglio early and often, leaving me wanting to take the road team on the runline.
