Colorado lost by a score of 16-9 Monday night at Los Angeles to drop to 59-80 overall and 25-45 on the road. Peter Lambert suffered the loss as he allowed six earned runs on eight hits with two strikeouts and two walks over 1 2/3 innings pitched. Ian Desmond was 1-for-1 off the bench with a solo home run while also giving up just one hit in a scoreless inning of work as the mopup pitcher in the bottom of the eighth. Nolan Arenado ended the contest 1-for-3 with a homer and two RBIs. Trevor Story was 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored. Ryan McMahon was 1-for-2 off the bench with a solo homer. Charlie Blackmon finished 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs and an RBI. Chi Chi Gonzalez will start today for the Rockies as he enters with an 0-6 record, 8.07 ERA and 1.82 WHIP with 20 strikeouts over 35 2/3 innings of work.

Dodgers pound seven HRs

Los Angeles cruised to a 16-9 home win Monday night over Colorado to improve to 90-50 overall and 53-18 at home. Joc Pederson paced the Dodgers offensively as he finished a perfect 3-for-3 with two home runs, a double, three runs scored and five RBIs before leaving the game with a minor injury. Corey Seager went 2-for-5 with a homer, two runs and five RBIs. Chris Taylor ended the game 3-for-5 with two solo home runs. Cody Bellinger was 1-for-2 with a solo homer plus three walks. Matt Beaty went 2-for-4 with a home run, a stolen base and three RBIs. Walker Buehler notched the win as he allowed six earned runs on eight hits with five strikeouts and no walks over five innings. Julio Urias gets the start tonight for LA as he comes in with a 4-3 record, 2.53 ERA and 1.09 WHIP plus 67 strikeouts over 67 2/3 innings pitched.

MLB Betting Trends

Colorado

The Rockies are 17-38 in their last 55 road games. Colorado is 0-5 in the last five Gonzalez road starts.

Los Angeles

The Dodgers are 48-14 in their last 62 home games. Los Angeles is 19-7 in the last 26 meetings.

Prediction:

The Dodgers hammered Lambert and now the Rockies are trotting out an even worse pitcher in Gonzalez to get obliterated. Honestly, this moneyline could be even bigger. I'm fully on board with LA here and am taking a shot on the runline as I think Gonzalez gets chased quickly.
