New York Yankees DFS SPIN
Jameson Taillon was charged with five runs over 3 2/3 innings on Thursday in a no-decision against the Athletics. Taillon was staked to an early six-run lead, but surrendered back-to-back homers to Matt Chapman and Sean Murphy in the third inning, and was unable to escape a bases-loaded jam in the ensuing frame. He finished with four strikeouts and also issued three walks in the brief outing. The 29-year-old righty's rough outing snapped a steak of nine consecutive starts in which he had allowed three earned runs or fewer dating back to July 6. He'll aim for a rebound when he faces the Angels on Tuesday evening in a favorable road tilt.
Los Angeles Angels DFS Spin
Shohei Ohtani (hand) will not make his scheduled start on the mound Tuesday versus the Yankees. Ohtani is still dealing with some soreness in his right wrist after being hit by a pitch Saturday. Understandably, the Angels don't want to take any chances with him so they'll keep him off the mound until the discomfort goes away. Ohtani will continue to serve as a designated hitter.
