The Cleveland Indians are coming off a road sweep and will look to keep their success away from home going tonight at the Tampa Bay Rays. Is a bet on Cleveland the right way to go in this spot?

Clevenger blanks Tigers
Mike Clevenger stayed red-hot as he threw eight shutout innings Thursday afternoon in a 2-0 victory at Detroit. Clevenger allowed only four hits with 10 strikeouts and no walks in the dominant performance. Brad Hand recorded his 33rd save as he struck out one batter in a perfect inning of work. Francisco Lindor provided the offense as he finished 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs. Yu Chang went 2-for-4, while Mike Freeman ended the day 1-for-4 with a run scored. Shane Bieber draws the start as he enters with a 12-6 record, 3.23 ERA and 1.01 WHIP with 215 strikeouts over 175 1/3 innings pitched.
Rays snap four-game skid
Tampa Bay secured a 9-8 win as underdogs Thursday afternoon at Houston to improve to 77-58 overall and 43-27 on the road. Travis d'Arnaud helped lead the Rays offensively as he ended the contest 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBIs. Austin Meadows finished 2-for-5 with a homer, a double, two runs scored and two RBIs. Ji-Man Choi went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, two runs and two RBIs. Tommy Pham was 2-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI. Jose de Leon picked up the win in relief as he gave up one unearned run on one hit with one strikeout and one walk over one inning. Austin Pruitt gets the start tonight as he comes in with a 2-0 record, 5.57 ERA and 1.36 WHIP with 27 strikeouts over 32 1/3 innings of work.
MLB Betting Trends
The Indians are 5-1 in their last six Friday games. Cleveland is 5-0 in the last five Bieber starts on Fridays.
The Rays are 1-4 in the last five Pruitt starts. Tampa Bay is 5-2 in its last seven games versus a team with a winning record.
Tampa Bay used a lot of pitchers yesterday, but with the Rays they always seem to have more pitchers coming in droves. The issue here is that Bieber has been awesome all season and Cleveland as a team has looked good lately while fighting to pull even in the AL Central standings. I like the Indians to get the job done here against a Rays squad that has been a bit shaky over the last week.
