Colorado Rockies Fantasy Spin
Nolan Arenado hit a three-run home run in Thursday’s loss to the Cardinals. With a pair of runners on in the fifth inning, Cardinals starter Miles Mikolas threw a lollipop that Arenado hit over the rainbow for a three-run blast into the visitors’ bullpen. The dinger was No. 32 on the year for the third baseman, who now has six homers in his last seven games. He’s one of the league’s most dangerous hitters and he’s hot right now, so opposing pitchers best watch out. Through Thursday, the 28-year-old is hitting .301/.360/.561 with 99 RBI and 82 runs scored in 125 games played.
St. Louis Cardinals Fantasy Spin
Dexter Fowler hit a two-run, go-ahead home run in the seventh inning as the Cardinals held off the Rockies 6-5 on Thursday. The Cardinals trailed by a run in the seventh inning when Fowler stepped to the dish with a runner on first base and no outs. After Rockies reliever Yency Almonte ran the count to 2-0, a 97-mph fastball crept back over the plate and Fowler jumped on it, sending it into the Cardinals’ bullpen to give his team the lead. He’s now got 15 homers, 52 RBI and 47 runs scored in 116 games, and his .348 on-base percentage has Cardinals manager Mike Shildt batting him at the top of the lineup for the time being. That’s a good spot, and players in deeper fantasy leagues should consider the 33-year-old for his production possibilities atop a good Cards order.

The over is also 7-3 in the Rockies’ last 10 road games and 4-1 in their last five road games when facing an opponent with a winning record.
