Hosmer guides Padres to win
San Diego first baseman Eric Hosmer went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs Tuesday night in a 4-3 victory at the Rockies. Freddy Galvis finished 1-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI from the leadoff spot. Wil Myers went 2-for-5, while Austin Hedges was 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Franmil Reyes ended the contest 2-for-3 with a double and a run. Manuel Margot had two hits in four at-bats. Robbie Erlin picked up the win as he allowed three earned runs on four hits with six strikeouts and no walks over five innings. Kirby Yates recorded the save as he struck out two in a perfect inning of work.
Iannetta homers in defeat
Chris Iannetta hit a solo home run in four at-bats in last night’s loss to San Diego. Charlie Blackmon went 2-for-4 with a triple and a run. D.J. LeMahieu ended the night 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Nolan Arenado finished 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and an RBI. Tyler Anderson allowed four earned runs on 10 hits with eight strikeouts and no walks over 6 1/3 innings to take the loss.

MLB Betting Trends
San Diego
The Padres are 7-19 in their last 26 Wednesday games. San Diego is 16-40 in its last 56 games overall.
Colorado
The under is 8-2 in the last 10 Rockies games overall. Colorado is 8-2 in its last 10 games overall.
Prediction:
Gray is the type of power pitcher who can shut the Padres down and have success in Coors Field. Nix looked brilliant in his first MLB start before stumbling in the first inning of his last start, but he hasn’t experienced the thin air of Denver yet in the big leagues. I say Colorado bounces back strong today and wins by multiple runs.
