Mariners vs. Braves Prediction
Will the Braves pull off the upset at home tonight when they host the Mariners at 7:35PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Mariners are -115 money line favorites versus the Braves, who have odds of +105 to pull off the upset in Atlanta. With Marco Gonzales set to face Lucas Sims in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 10 runs.

From Rotoworld: Gonzales was tagged for nine hits and four runs over 4 1/3 innings Wednesday in a no-decision against the Orioles. He struck out one and didn’t walk anyone. Things were going just fine for Gonzales until the fifth when the Orioles exploded for three runs on five hits including an RBI triple by Craig Gentry. He also let in a run on a wild pitch. We’ll see how Gonzales fares in his next outing Tuesday against Atlanta.
Sims recorded his first big-league victory after allowing two runs over five innings Thursday against the Rockies. Sims walked three today, matching his total from his first three starts combined. Still, he kept it together at Coors Field, which was pretty impressive. He’ll take a 1-3 record and a 5.24 ERA into his next start against the Mariners.
Bet Tonight’s Mariners vs. Braves Game
OUR PREDICTION: The Mariners are 5-0 against the Braves in their last five games against Atlanta but I don’t trust Gonzales. Since he was acquired from St. Louis, Gonzales has struggled for the Mariners. He hasn’t fared well in a spacious ballpark in Seattle and I’m sure as hell am not going to trust him in a stadium that has been a bandbox at times in Atlanta. Sims isn’t a great option either, but I see value in the home dog.
