New York Mets DFS Notes
Jonathan Villar went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a steal on Monday against the Giants. Villar’s homer cut a 7-3 deficit to 7-5. That’s the 14th homer of the season, and the steal gets him into double digits with 10. The 30-year-old is now slashing .249/.323/.435 in his first (only?) season with the Mets over 99 games.
San Francisco Giants DFS Notes
Kris Bryant went 2-for-4 with two homers and three RBI on Monday in a 7-5 win for the Giants over the Mets. Bryant, 29, hit a two-run homer off Miguel Castro and a solo homer off Trevor May. The former MVP has homered 21 times in 2021, and three of those have come as a member of the Giants since he was acquired at the deadline. It’s worth pointing out that Bryant was a rumored target of the Mets in July. New York’s loss is San Francisco’s gain.
