Dodgers’ Buehler goes seven scoreless innings in no-decision
Walker Buehler worked seven scoreless innings Saturday in a no-decision against the Rockies. Buehler certainly deserved a win for the effort, but J.T. Chargois served up a three-run walk-off home run to Ryan McMahon in the bottom of the ninth inning. Buehler tallied six strikeouts, working around three walks and four hits in the excellent outing at Coors Field. The 24-year-old right-hander has a 3.32 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 85/19 K/BB ratio in 81 1/3 innings this season. He’ll get the Mariners at Seattle’s Safeco Field next time out.
Mariners’ LeBlanc earns victory Saturday vs. Astros
Wade LeBlanc held the Astros to two runs over five innings Saturday for his seventh win of the season. LeBlanc scattered two walks and three hits while striking out five as he moved to 7-2 in 19 starts (and five relief appearances). The veteran left-hander also has a sharp 3.80 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and 94/25 K/BB ratio in 118 1/3 innings this season. His next start will come at home against the Dodgers.
