Astros win seventh straight
Houston is on a seven-game win streak right now following a 3-2 win at Baltimore last night. The Astros are 76-40 on the season, 33-25 on the road and 62-49 with the under. Houston has Aaron Sanchez on the mound today. He is 4-14 on the season with a 5.76 ERA.
The Astros were able to take a 2-0 lead in the first inning on Friday and then hold on for the win down the stretch. Houston had eight hits in the win, led by a triple and two hits from Jose Altuve. Robinson Chrinos had two hits and scored a run. Wade Miley got the start and the win, improving to 11-4 on the year. He gave up just one run over 5.2 innings with four strikeouts. Roberto Osuna recorded his 26th save in the ninth.
Orioles drop fourth straight
Baltimore has lost four straight games, all at home, following the loss on Friday night. The Orioles are now 38-77 on the season, 17-42 at home and 57-50 with the over. Baltimore has Aaron Brooks on the mound today. He is 2-5 on the year with a 5.45 ERA.
Dylan Bundy pitched pretty well on Friday, but took the loss to fall to 5-12 on the season. He gave up two runs over six innings with six strikeouts. The Orioles got their two runs off a pair of solo home runs and Jace Peterson and Stevie Wilkerson each went yard for Baltimore.
MLB Betting Trends
Houston
The Astros are 5-1 in their last six road games and 38-14 in their last 52 Saturday games.
Baltimore
The Orioles are 18-45 in their last 63 home games and 15-43 in their last 58 games against AL West opponents.
Prediction:
Houston wasn’t able to win by multiple runs last night, but that is the only way they bring value to a wager in this series. Sanchez threw six scoreless innings in his debut with the Astros last weekend. Joining Houston looks to have provided a nice boost for him. Brooks has given up 14 runs over his last 13.2 innings and I expect the struggles to continue against this Houston lineup tonight.
MLB Prediction: Houston Astros -1.5 (-150)
