Derek Dietrich was 1-for-4 with a double and a run. Brian Anderson finished 1-for-4 with an RBI. Wei-Yin Chen picked up the win as he gave up only one hit with four strikeouts and two walks over 5 2/3 innings. Javy Guerra picked up his first save of the season as he threw two-thirds of an inning.

Luke Weaver gave up two earned runs on seven hits with five strikeouts and no walks over six innings to take the loss last night at Miami. Matt Carpenter paced the offense as he was 1-for-4 with a walk and an RBI. Marcell Ozuna ended the night 3-for-4, while Harrison Bader was 2-for-4.

MLB Betting Trends
St. Louis
The Cardinals are 6-2 in Mikolas’ last eight road starts. The over is 7-1 in the last eight meetings in Miami.
Miami
The under is 6-2-1 in the last nine Miami games overall. The over is 15-5 in the last 20 meetings overall.
Prediction:
St. Louis has been one of the more unpredictable teams in baseball this season, with a 58-55 overall record and 29-29 on the road. After yesterday’s underwhelming performance, I say the Cardinals bounce back today. Mikolas has been the most consistent St. Louis starting pitcher and has helped his squad to plenty of road wins. Go with St. Louis to even the series here.
