Padres secure split with Cubs
The Padres won their series finale Sunday at Chicago as it claimed a 10-6 victory. Manuel Margot helped pace the offense as he went 2-for-5 and scored a run. Brewers rally, lose in 11th
Milwaukee rallied from a 4-1 deficit in the ninth inning Sunday at home versus Colorado, but lost 5-4 in 11 innings as it could not finish the three-game sweep. Corey Knebel suffered the loss in relief as he gave up one earned run on one hit with four strikeouts and one walk over two innings. Christian Yelich went 2-for-5, while Mike Moustakas was 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk. Travis Shaw went 2-for-5 with a solo homer. Ryan Braun ended the game 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and a run. Orlando Arcia finished 1-for-3 with a double plus a walk and an RBI.
MLB Betting Trends
The Padres are 3-7 in their last 10 games in Milwaukee. The under is 11-4 in the last 15 San Diego games following a win.
The Brewers are 20-7 in their last 27 Tuesday games. Milwaukee is 11-5 in its last 16 home games.
Milwaukee continues to lead the NL Wild Card race and now has a home series against a struggling Padres squad. Although the Padres did get two wins in their four-game series at the Cubs, I wouldn't expect them to do the same in this series. Go with the heavy favorites and let's make it a run line bet for the heck of it as Milwaukee should be able to touch up Richard.
