Brewers swept at Cubs
Milwaukee lost by a score of 7-2 Sunday afternoon at Chicago to drop to 57-56 overall and 24-32 on the road. Trent Grisham paced the Brewers offense as he finished 3-for-4 with a solo home run. Christian Yelich went 2-for-4 with a solo homer. Mike Moustakas and Travis Shaw both ended the game 2-for-4. Adrian Houser took the loss as he allowed four earned runs on nine hits with five strikeouts and one walk over five innings. Jordan Lyles will start for Milwaukee tonight as he enters with a 6-7 record, 5.15 ERA and 1.44 WHIP with 94 strikeouts over 87 1/3 innings.
Pirates crushed in series finale
Pittsburgh lost 13-2 at home Sunday afternoon against the Mets to drop to 48-63 overall and 24-29 at home. Jose Osuna led the Pirates offensively off the bench as he went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, a double and two runs scored. Colin Moran finished 1-for-3 with an RBI. Bryan Reynolds was 1-for-4. Joe Musgrave took the loss as he surrendered eight earned runs on 10 hits over 3 1/3 innings, striking out five and walking none. MLB Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Brewers are 15-6 in their last 21 Monday games. Milwaukee is 0-4 in its last four games versus the NL Central.
Pittsburgh
The Pirates are 6-20 in their last 26 games overall. Pittsburgh is 3-8 in the last 11 meetings.
Prediction:
The Pirates have struggled lately, but so has Milwaukee and at least Pittsburgh gets to stay at home. I actually like Agrazal more as far as the starting pitcher matchup goes as he’s been pretty solid so far in his MLB career despite a miniscule strikeout rate. Lyles is in just his second start for the Brewers and will be facing his former team. He was in rough shape before the trade and I can’t trust him here. Go with the hosts.
