Cincinnati Reds Fantasy Spin
Amir Garrett was suspended for eight games following Tuesday night's benches-clearing brawl with the Pirates. Garrett charged at the Pittsburgh dugout and landed at least one punch on a Pirates player. The setup man is appealing the suspension and will be available out of the Reds' bullpen until it is heard.
Atlanta Braves Fantasy Spin
Freddie Freeman hit a three-run home run in Thursday's first inning, leading the Braves to a rain-shortened, 4-1 win over the Reds. Reds starter Anthony DeSclafani left a breaking ball up and away to one of the game's best hitters, and Freeman did what good hitters do to hanging pitches, swatting it out to left-center field for a three-run blast. The homer was the 26th of the year for Freeman, giving him 85 RBI and 83 runs scored. The 29-year-old is hitting .305/.397/.563 and ranks among the league leaders in virtually every offensive category this season.
