Pittsburgh Pirates Fantasy Spin
Corey Dickerson went 3-for-4 with two homers and five RBI as the Pirates topped the Reds 11-4 on Tuesday. If this was Dickerson’s final game for Pittsburgh, it was a great one. He’s sporting a .931 OPS in an injury-plagued season in which he’s been limited to 126 at-bats. He could have a few contenders as a left fielder or DH against righties, though what seemed like the most obvious fit, Cleveland, just filled its needs.
Cincinnati Reds Fantasy Spin
Eugenio Suarez (back) went 1-for-3 with a walk in his return to the Reds’ lineup Tuesday versus the Pirates. Suarez made an early exit from Monday’s series opener versus Pittsburgh after experiencing tightness in his back, but he played all nine innings at third base on Tuesday and even got involved in the Reds’ benches-clearing brawl with the Bucs. Suarez has put up an .862 OPS with 28 home runs and 69 RBI through 105 games this season.
MLB Betting Trends
Pittsburgh Pirates
The Pirates are just 7-20 in their last 27 road games and 5-17 in their last 22 games overall.
Cincinnati Reds
The Reds are 7-3 in Luis Castillo’s last 10 starts after allowing five runs or more in their previous game.
Prediction:
The over continues to cash when these NL Central rivals clash. The over is 6-1-1 in the last eight meetings and 4-1-1 in the last six meetings in Cincinnati. The over is also 14-3 in the Pirates’ last 17 games played on Wednesday and is 29-13-3 in their last 45 games after scoring five runs or more in their previous contest. Finally, the over is 4-1 in Castillo’s last five home starts versus an opponent with a losing record and is 5-2 in the Reds’ last seven games when their opponent scored five runs or more in its previous contest.
