A’s Anderson spins gem against Rangers in last start
Brett Anderson yielded two runs on six hits over six innings in the Athletics’ 15-3 win over the Rangers on Monday. Anderson was staked to an early five-run lead and limited the Rangers to just two extra-base hits over six solid frames en route to his second win of the year. The southpaw stuck out six and issued only one walk. The 30-year-old righty has pitched well in three starts since coming off the disabled list earlier this month, but fantasy owners should avoid Anderson in his next start against the Rockies in Coors Field this weekend.
Rockies’ Senzatela struggles in first start off disabled list
Antonio Senzatela allowed four runs over 5 2/3 innings in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Sunday. Senzatela was mostly solid over the first five innings, but ran into trouble in the sixth and couldn’t get out of the inning. He did strike out six while walking just two. Still, it’s another poor line from the 23-year-old right-hander, who now owns an ERA of 5.55 over his 35 2/3 innings with a 1.32 WHIP. Senzatela will go again against the A’s next Sunday, and is not recommend as a streaming option against the strong Oakland lineup.
