Brewers vs. Nationals Prediction
Will Max Scherzer shut down the Brewers this afternoon when the Nationals host the Brewers at 12:05PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Nationals are -225 money line favorites versus the Brewers, who have odds of +205 to pull off the upset. With Scherzer set to face Michael Blazek in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 8 runs.

From Rotoworld: Blazek will start against the Nationals on Thursday. Blazek will make the start in place of Matt Garza, who just landed on the disabled list with a right leg strain. The 28-year-old right-hander has made four appearances with the Brewers to date, but this will be his first start of the season. Given that he is not stretched out yet, the Brew Crew are probably hoping for about five innings max, here.
Scherzer gave up five runs and three homers in five innings Friday against the Diamondbacks. Incredibly, Scherzer gave up homers to the first three batters he faced tonight. He went on to allow one more run in the first and another in the second before getting it together and finishing the outing strong. It’s just the second time this year that he’s allowed five runs, the other coming April 28 against the Mets. He gave up as many homers to those first three batters as he had in his previous nine starts combined.
Bet Today’s Brewers vs. Nationals Game
OUR PREDICTION: The under has cashed in nine of Milwaukee’s last 11 games on the road and has hit in nine of the Brewers’ last 11 games overall. I expect Scherzer to rebound today and pitch well in what should be a relatively low-scoring game.
THURSDAY MLB PREDICTION: BREWERS/NATIONALS UNDER 8
