Can the Kansas City Royals complete a road sweep of the Detroit Tigers when the two finish off their series tonight at 7:10PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Tigers are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -115 to win. The Royals are listed with a money line of -105 to win. The over/under total has been set at 10 runs.

The pitching matchup tonight has Anibal Sanchez (2-0, 5.95 ERA) on the mound for the Tigers to face Ian Kennedy (3-6, 4.61) of the Royals. Kennedy is coming off a poor start, allowing five earned runs in four innings of work. On the season, he has racked up 86 strikeouts with 39 walks while posting a WHIP of 1.19. Sanchez has led the Tigers to a win in his last four starts, but still has allowed 13 earned runs in those four starts. On the season, Sanchez has 52 strikeouts with 16 walks and a 1.45 WHIP.
The Royals have taken the first two games of the series, picking up a 5-3 win in 12 innings on Monday, followed by a 3-1 win on Tuesday night. Kansas City is now 52-47 overall and 22-24 on the road while Detroit is 45-54 overall and 25-23 at home.
Detroit continued to struggle with scoring runs on Tuesday, posting just one on eight hits. The lack of run support caused Michael Fulmer to take another loss despite a good outing. He pitched eight innings and allowed the three runs. Danny Duffy got the win for KC, pitching 6.1 innings while allowing just one run. White Merrifield homered and drove in two to lead the Royals while Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas also drove in runs. Detroit was led by Victor Martinez and Miguel Cabrera, who each had two hits.
Detroit has struggled at the plate in this series and losing J.D. Martinez to Arizona has clearly taken some pop out of this lineup. The Tigers have had the starting pitching in this series, but now turn the ball over to a shaky Sanchez. He doesn’t get deep into games, so that leaves the ball in the hands of the bullpen. That’s not good. Kennedy hasn’t been great, but I think he can work around this struggling Detroit order and lead the Royals to another win.
