Blue Jays vs. Indians Pick
Will the Cleveland Indians complete a weekend sweep of the Toronto Blue Jays when the two wrap up their series today at 1:10PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Indians are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -210 to win, while the Blue Jays are listed with a money line of +190 to prevail. The over/under total for the game is listed at 8.5 runs.

The pitching matchup for this one has Corey Kluber (7-3, 2.86 ERA) on the mound for Cleveland to face J.A. Happ (3-6, 3.55) of the Blue Jays. Kluber missed his Friday start, but is set to go today. He is coming off a 3-run effort over 7.1 innings against Oakland in his last start. He has 135 strikeouts this season with 24 walks and 0.96 WHIP. Happ has allowed two earned runs or less in five straight starts. He has 62 strikeouts this year with 16 walks and a 1.26 WHIP.
The Indians have taken the first two games of this weekend series, earning a 13-3 win on Friday. They followed it up with a 2-1 win on Saturday. Cleveland is now 50-45 overall and 23-24 at home while Toronto is 44-53 overall and 22-29 on the road.
Saturday’s win came in 10 innings thanks to a Francisco Lindor solo home run that traveled 438 feet. Both starters pitched well, as Danny Salazar went seven scoreless and allowed just one hit while Marcus Stroman allowed just one run over 7.2 innings of work. Justin Smoak brought in the lone run for Toronto on his 27th home run of the season.
Toronto’s bats have been letting them down in this series and I don’t think that will change when facing Kluber today. Happ has been on a nice run and one of Toronto’s better starters, but he won’t be able to afford to allow much of anything when battling Kluber. I can see Kluber getting deep into this game without allowing a run. The Indians’ bullpen can take over from there.
