Daniel Murphy finished 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored. Antonio Senzatela took the loss as he surrendered six earned runs on seven hits over 1 1/3 innings, striking out one and walking two. Yankees dominate at home
New York cruised to an 11-5 victory Saturday afternoon at home over Colorado to improve to 64-33 overall and 38-16 at home. D.J. LeMahieu helped pace the offense as he finished 3-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored. Edwin Encarnacion ended the contest 2-for-5 with a double and three RBIs. Gleyber Torres went 3-for-5 with a run scored and two RBIs. Masahiro Tanaka picked up the win as he allowed five earned runs on seven hits with three strikeouts and one walk over six innings. MLB Betting Trends
Colorado
The Rockies are 6-18 in their last 24 games overall. Colorado is 0-5 in its last five road games.
New York
The Yankees are 4-1 in their last five interleague home games. New York is 9-4 in its last 13 Sunday games.
Prediction:
Marquez was rocked in his last start, but that was at Coors Field and on paper he automatically has an upgrade anywhere else. The issue is that the Yankees have a loaded lineup and aren’t going to make life easy on him at all. In addition, Paxton has seemingly righted his ship after a rough few months. I’m taking New York with confidence to complete the sweep.
