From Rotoworld: Garza surrendered one run on three hits over five innings in Sunday’s loss to the Phillies. Garza did walk three (and only struck out one), but he was able to keep the Brewers off the scoreboard outside of an RBI double allowed to Odubel Herrera in the fifth inning. The veteran hurler will carry a 3.84 ERA and 1.27 WHIP (14 starts) into a road date with these same Phillies next time he takes to the mound.
Nola allowed two earned runs, seven hits and two walks with seven strikeouts over six innings in a no-decision Saturday in Milwaukee. While the Phillies are just 3-4 over his past seven starts, Nola has been rolling along. He has five straight quality starts, posting a 3-1 record with a 1.78 ERA, 11 walks and 41 strikeouts over his past 35 1/3 innings. His next assignment is scheduled for Friday at home in a rematch against the Brewers.
