From Rotoworld: Blackburn allowed three earned runs, five hits and four walks with four strikeouts over six innings in a no-decision against the Indians on Saturday. Blackburn held up rather nicely against All-Star Corey Kluber, throwing 59 of his 103 pitches for strikes while making only one mistake on a homer to Edwin Encarnacion. His next scheduled start is expected to come on the road Friday against the Mets.
Matz was lit up for seven earned runs over one-plus inning Sunday in a loss to the Rockies. Colorado’s offense jumped all over the 26-year-old left-hander, racking up nine hits to drive Matz from the game with zero outs in the top of the second. Matz has now allowed 12 earned runs over his last two starts covering just 5 1/3 innings. His season ERA is up to 4.58.
